See Our high Quality embroidery examples at the bottom of the page. All the well known brand logos shown were produced for legitimate licenced customers.

The creation of the embroidery design from the artwork is called Digitising or 'Punching' ('Punching' originates from the way the stitches were literally punched into paper tape, by hand, as a way of transferring the designs to the machines. Thankfully we have come some way since then!) and is the process of 'tracing' the outlines of the artwork, building up layers of stitching, to produce the embroidered logo. As thread is quite unwieldy compared to the precision of paper-based printing, many concessions are made during the digitising process, therefore creating a faithful impression of the original artwork. This is a slow and highly skilled job, which our digitising department has been doing for other embroidery businesses since 1994.
Embroidered designs have a higher value and quality compared to screen printing and heat seal. Embroidery is usually priced by the stitch, so the bigger the design the greater the amount of stitches, but because we also do this in-house, a left breast embroidery is included in the price of the garment, which can save you a lot of money in set-up charges compared to our competitors. Left breast size logos are the ideal size for embroidery, large back logos are better done using heat seal for single colours, or screen print for multi colours. (Click here for logo positioning information.)
We also have our own embroidery machines in-house. These machines are operated by highly trained staff to ensure that the quality of our embroidery is of a consistently high standard. We will provide you with a digital image of your embroidery for you to approve before production.
Embroidered logos can be ironed without stitching loosening or any colour loss.

Artwork
The better the artwork that a customer supplies the less time needs to be spent tidying it up before the design process begins. We can provide artwork for you free of charge if you have no logo, as our digitisers are also graphic design trained.
Upload your artwork when you’ve added your chosen items to your basket.
We accept artwork to us in the following formats: (Call 01663 734403 or email us for help)

  • Jpeg (.jpg) -Most common format, best at high resolution (300dpi or higher)
  • Vector (.cdr, .ai, .eps,  .pdf)
  • Bitmap (.bmp, .tif,) -Best at high resolution (300dpi or higher)
  • Website artwork is generally too small and of too low resolution to use.

Or you can post a printout of your artwork or letterhead to us or send it on a CD or floppy disk.
The colours of the artwork will be matched to our extensive range of threads.
